I’m making quite a bit of progress on my backlog of photos over the past few years. I realized I have way too many photos of Monnie(our one-eyed cat) and might need to cut back. Damn poser. Anyway these photos are from a trip to the beaches back in July.
You can check em out on Flickr or in the photography section above.
Taking more off my stack of backlogged photos, here are images I took on Canada Day during the summer. I am still quite surprised at how quiet Toronto was on a national holiday. The area we were walking (Tess & I) was along the lake and granted there were a lot of people enjoying the weather I certainly did not get the vibe that it was indeed Canada day.
You can view these photos via flickr or from my photography page above.
As I have mentioned in my previous post, I am in the midst of getting my photo collection all on my flickr account (and hopefully fixing up the older items on there). So here are my photos I took of Earth Hour way back on March 29th 2008. Of course most of these photos look pretty terrible, but honestly there is not a whole lot I could do where most of the lights were out (kind of the point of Earth Hour
) and if you’re wondering why all those lights are on, that’s because Toronto has an overpopulation of douchebags. Thankfully I didn’t have a lot of aggravation with other people, but I do recall injuring my back pretty bad before I took these photos. Ah the memories…
Check out this album on my flickr or just check out the photography section above.
I finally have my Nuit Blanche photos online for your perusal on my flickr account. Definately not my best work but my blood pressure was through the roof having to deal with thousands of uppity Torontonians who have a distaste for anyone taking a photo. The number of times I had my tripod kicked in the middle of a shot…
Anyway you can check these out either by clicking here (my photography section on the site) or directly from my flickr.
I would just like to genuinely thank whoever created this pb wiki for Wordcamp Toronto that has just about every session taped and streaming over vimeo (with the exception of the entertainment blog panel) not to mention slideshows. Below is part 1 of Matt Mullenweg’s (founder of Wordpress) State of the Word. You can see Part 2 after the jump. Also, if that jerk with the Kangol hat keeps blocking your view of the stage, I apologize.
State of the Word: Part 1
http://www.vimeo.com/1888282Some things I like about the new Wordpress 2.7
- A Drag and Drop Interface (great for those who don’t use categories etc.)
- QuickPress (exactly like it sounds)
- The Dashboard opens right up to Quickpress and Recent Comments for quick updating.
- Can Upload Media without having to access the gallery.
- Finding plugins in the repository from within wordpress.
Matt Mullenweg made an appearance as you can see and threw up some crazy numbers about the number of wordpress blogs on the internet. Like population of Canada big.
Already glad I attended this Wordcamp event. Can’t go wrong I have to say when you serve up Apple Crisp with Icecream.
Welcome to the little nugget of the web(take that as you like) that is my personal blog. I am an aspiring screenwriter, movie buff, avid gamer, and philosophy geek.
Leave a comment or I'll die inside.
