This is not only funny but damn impressive from batgremlin of Youtube. I remember my disappointment when I saw the VHS copy of Gremlins 2 for the first and did not happen to see Hulk Hogan yelling threats to some Gremlins. The Indiana Jones sequence is particularly well done.
Now for Gremlins 3. See the making of this ‘Film Break’ after the break.

This looks like a serious Oscar contender from Gus Van Sant. Of course I am making that judgement purely off the trailer and taking into account the cast. So long as Sean Penn doesn’t play it ‘full-on’(Tropic Thunder is really sticking with me) this movie will do great.

This is just gold right here. I’ve seen this guy do some funny work on the Onion(though I don’t know his name). To think someone must have had the honor to place Deniro’s and Pacino’s heads floating in space next to one another. It’s enough to make someone tear up.

Yeah I know this has been on the web for a good week now and has been posted everywhere, but that doesn’t make it any less cool to look at. Too bad the parallel processing analogy is a bit faulty. Still you have to credit the Mythbusters for putting on such a spectacular demonstration by painting a Mona Lisa in 80 milliseconds using only paint balls. The slow motion video is just incredible.

I felt this appropriate considering most schools are now back in session. I had a professor like this who reacted similarly if you ever mentioned your were agnostic or atheist…

Ok this one is definitely not SFW but I am getting a good vibe here from Kevin Smith’s latest movie staring Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks. If I am lucky and make it into a rush screening at TIFF I may have a review Zack and Miri Make a Porno this Sunday.
Deep Thoughts: Kevin Smith has let it be known that this movie is not a part of the view Askewniverse. So long as it is not another Jersey Girl I’m not worried.

It really stinks that we just got great news that Mark Steven Johnson was no longer adapting Ennis’s Vertigo series of Preacher for HBO. Preacher was perfectly suited for HBO even if Johnson was no suitable for Preacher (or anything good for that matter).
Then we get word that the screenwriters behind cinematic pieces of fecal matter like Aeon Flux and the Tuxedo, are working on Ennis’s The Boys. Seriously? Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi? You thought the guys who wrote Crazy/Beautiful were a perfect match for Ennis’s material? Seriously?
Seriously? I’d do it for free… Just putting my name out there.

Here’s one of those ironic posts since I have been ‘busy’ hanging out with my friend Scott who is spending his vacation up here in Toronto (gotta love the FanExpo).

I used to be a fan of the Red Alert series and Command & Conquer as well, but I am starting to feel they no longer ‘get the game’. Getting some from Jennifer McCarthy is not a reward. It’s a punishment.
