POP: The Gremlins Crash Your DVR

No response Sep 05, 2008 I Posted by: Gorman

This is not only funny but damn impressive from batgremlin of Youtube. I remember my disappointment when I saw the VHS copy of Gremlins 2 for the first and did not happen to see Hulk Hogan yelling threats to some Gremlins. The Indiana Jones sequence is particularly well done.

Now for Gremlins 3. See the making of this ‘Film Break’ after the break.

POP: Mythbusters draw the Mona Lisa in 80 Milliseconds

No response Sep 04, 2008 I Posted by: Gorman

Yeah I know this has been on the web for a good week now and has been posted everywhere, but that doesn’t make it any less cool to look at. Too bad the parallel processing analogy is a bit faulty. Still you have to credit the Mythbusters for putting on such a spectacular demonstration by painting a Mona Lisa in 80 milliseconds using only paint balls. The slow motion video is just incredible.

I felt this appropriate considering most schools are now back in session. I had a professor like this who reacted similarly if you ever mentioned your were agnostic or atheist…

ScriptGirl Report for August 29th 2008

No response Sep 01, 2008 I Posted by: Gorman

It really stinks that we just got great news that Mark Steven Johnson was no longer adapting Ennis’s Vertigo series of Preacher for HBO. Preacher was perfectly suited for HBO even if Johnson was no suitable for Preacher (or anything good for that matter).

The Boys

Then we get word that the screenwriters behind cinematic pieces of fecal matter like Aeon Flux and the Tuxedo, are working on Ennis’s The Boys. Seriously? Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi? You thought the guys who wrote Crazy/Beautiful were a perfect match for Ennis’s material? Seriously?

Seriously? I’d do it for free… Just putting my name out there. ;)

Here’s one of those ironic posts since I have been ‘busy’ hanging out with my friend Scott who is spending his vacation up here in Toronto (gotta love the FanExpo).

POP: Toxic Avenger ‘Carnality’

Unfortunately I did not make it to the Lloyd Kaufman Q&A at this year’s FanExpo in Toronto, but I felt this scene from Toxic Avenger was appropriate none the less.

I figured my nemesis (yes, I know who you are) would appreciate this. I feel bad for the guy. I though the green buggers in Geometry Wars 2 were some of the easiest in this Xbox Live Arcade game.

Sometimes people who are into politics have too much time on their hands. It makes me wonder if someone in the Democratic party was paid (or paid for) to have this made. As funny as it is disturbing. I always knew Hillary was a dude.
